engagement platform and interactive community
Based on Ze Frank's engagement philosophy, Star.me provides a space for members to be creative. Star.me believes that there is an inherent benefit to creative action.

Every day, a new mission asks members to write, draw, photograph, or otherwise contribute an answer. Members can share, comment, and tip each other's answers.

Star.me also provides tools with which members can create their own missions. These missions give the creative reigns directly in the hands of Star.me's members.

My role spans a wide variety of responsibilities. I lead all project management while developing new products for the community and working on the company's creative strategy. Details can be found on my resume.
forum article for peer-reviewed journal
After presenting my master's thesis at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program on the future of museums, I was approached by Tom Hennes, director of Think Studios and editor of Curator Journal, to write an article based on my research.

My article, "Wikipedia Links and Viral Loops," explores what art museums could learn from the start-up world.

abstract: Exhibitions have social potential, beyond just the prospect of sharing the experience with a friend standing next to you. We can imagine ways in which the museum space can link art, objects, experiences, people, and technologies to provide a structure within which visitors feel comfortable participating. Their own contributions and the museum's skillful use of social media can result in a more engaging exhibition, not a dumbing down of the content.

I've continued to write about my experience with museums on my blog.
conference wrap-up video, cgiu stories producer
As a Communications Intern for the Clinton Foundation's Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), I assisted edited the conference wrap-up video which played on the final day of the annual conference. The video, shown to state leaders, corporate executives, and prominent leaders in the non-profit and NGO sector, reviewed the past five years of President Clinton's conference.

While I was able to prep much of the footage for the previous four years before the conference, the most important part of the video showed scenes from the current year. I was responsible for reading notes from sessions immediately after their conclusion, finding the appropriate footage, and sending usable clips to the head editor.

The following year, I was asked to attend the CGIUniversity conference and help produce a similar video. My role this time was to manage the guest speakers and their schedule and research their work to prep the interviewer.
